UPDATE: The City of Saginaw has SHUT US DOWN until FURTHER NOTICE due to apparent fire code violations. We are working as quick as possible to get this resolved and are also looking at the option of new locations. WE WILL BE BACK! Thanks for your support and patronage!
About
Opened in 1868 on the corner of Hamilton & Ames streets in old town Saginaw, The Schuch Hotel is the oldest establishment of its kind in Michigan. It is said that many famous people have stayed at the Schuch over the years including world famous boxing champion - John L. Sullivan. With 140 years of history, many things both good and bad have happened at the schuch for over a century. The third floor has been out of service as a hotel for decades and has not been touched until we decided to add our own "twist" to it. Before we took on the task of building "A Nightmare On Ames Street" we had heard rumors that the third floor was TRULY haunted. During construction late this summer many of our staff members experienced and/or felt strange things while up there doing work and one employee was startled to the point that they refused to do any further work. Ignoring this, we have decided to press on and feel that with this history coupled with our top-notch staff and special effects we hope to give you the haunting experience of a lifetime!

Finding us is very simple! We are located at 301 N. Hamilton St. in old town Saginaw, right at the corner of Hamilton & Ames streets. Check out the picture below to use google maps to get turn by turn directions!

Schedule
Currently we are open on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting at 8PM. On Fridays and Saturdays we will be open until 1:00 AM or later depending on how busy we are. We are likely to expand our hours as demand increases so please check our website frequently or contact us for updated showtimes!
Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers! If you think you've got what it takes to scare the pants off of someone, or you feel you have some unique talent that would add to our attraction we would LOVE to hear from you! We do not guarantee a paid position, but it could lead to very generous compensation depending on your peformance. Please contact Tim Morningstar at 989.737.6437 with your details!
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How much does it cost?
A: $10 per person - NO EXCEPTIONS. If you talk to someone that has already been through, they will tell you it IS worth it :)
Q: How long does it take to go through?
A: This all depends on YOU. We have had groups make it through in as little as 10 minutes, or some have taken 20 minutes
Q: Can I bring my kids?
A: You can, but be warned that our haunted house is NOT for the faint of heart and it is NOT recommended for young children!
Q: Can I smoke or bring food and drink?
A: No, this leads to nothing but problems.
Q: The monsters won't touch me will they?
A: Absolutely not. It is our personal policy and rule that none of our staff can touch you at any point in time. We may come VERY close, but we will NOT touch you.
Q: What happens in the event of rain or bad weather?
A: Our haunted house is 100% indoors - we are not affected by the weather! Plus, our line is INSIDE! No waiting in the cold or in the rain!
Q: I lost my _______ while visting your haunted house or cut myself!
A: We're sorry this happened and we'll do everything we can to find your lost item and/or get you help, but please remember that we ARE NOT responsible for damages or losses while inside!
Q: The door guy kicked me out before I even got in, what gives?
A: If we feel that you are obnoxiously intoxicated or coming in with a bad attitude, we have the right to refuse you entry. Period.
